If you are applying for Aquaculture and Fisheries Management through the UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination), you must score at least 180 in the JAMB examination. The three (3) required JAMB subjects for Aquaculture and Fisheries Management are:

2. Chemistry

Waiver/Special Considerations:

• The University of Ibadan (UI) requires candidates presenting two (2) O’Level results to include either Economics or Geography as their sixth subject.
• The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) requires candidates to have at least a pass in Physics. Candidates with a pass in Biology must have a credit pass in Agricultural Science. They do not accept Agricultural Science in place of Biology. FUNAAB also requires credit passes in Mathematics, Biology, English Language, Chemistry, and Physics.

Direct Entry Requirements:

If you are applying for Aquaculture and Fisheries Management through Direct Entry, you must satisfy the following admission requirements:

• Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Zoology/Physics.

Waiver/Special Considerations:

• The University of Ibadan (UI) accepts ND/NCE upper credit into 100 level with active participation in practical year programs related to Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries, Health, Animal Husbandry, etc. HND upper credit holders can gain admission into 200 level with exemption from the practical year program. UI also accepts ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics into 200 level with full participation in a practical year program.
• FUNAAB accepts ND/HND upper credit in Agriculture from a recognized institution in disciplines such as Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Forestry and Wildlife Management, Fisheries, and Agricultural Technology. They also require two (2) ‘A’ level credit passes in Chemistry and one (1) of Physics, Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science/Biology or Mathematics. NCE credit in Biology, Agricultural Science, Physics, or Chemistry is also accepted.
