  • UNN requires five (5) SSCE credit passes, including Mathematics, English Language, and two other Science subjects. For Integrated Science, a credit pass in at least one Science subject and a pass in two other Science subjects are required.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination:

In addition to English Language, you need to select three (3) relevant Science or NBC subjects for your JAMB UTME when applying to study Education and Science. The Science subjects can be chosen from Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Agric Science, or Health Science.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements: If you’re applying through direct entry, you need to meet the following requirements: i) Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in relevant Science subjects, including the proposed course. ii) NCE merit/credit passes along with TC II merit or SSCE credit in relevant subjects.

Special Considerations for Some Universities:

  • NDU follows the same requirements as Vocational and Technical Education.
  • UNN accepts candidates with National Diploma (ND) in other areas at a merit, credit, or distinction level, who also meet the university’s minimum entry requirements and have a credit in the teaching subject. These candidates will undergo a 4-year program.
  • RSUST, in addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements, accepts qualifications such as HND (Lower Credit) in a related discipline, ND or OND with a minimum of Upper credit, and NCE in the relevant Science Education program with a minimum of Pass. They also consider two (2) GCE A’ Level or HSC subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, or their combinations.
