1. OOU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) requires an ‘O’ level pass in Mathematics and a credit pass in Literature in English.
2. ABU (Ahmadu Bello University) requires Literature in English and any other Social Science or Arts subject.
3. EBSU (Ebonyi State University) requires any two (2) Social Science or Arts subjects.

When it comes to the JAMB subject combination for Civil Law, you are expected to choose three (3) subjects from either the Arts or Social Sciences. To be eligible for admission, you should aim for a JAMB score of at least 180. The required JAMB subjects for Civil Law are as follows:

1. Any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects.

The following waivers and special considerations apply:

1. OOU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) does not insist on Literature in English.
2. ABU (Ahmadu Bello University) requires Literature in English and any other Social Science or Arts subjects.
3. EBSU (Ebonyi State University) requires Literature in English, in addition to either History, Government, CRS, or Economics.

If you’re considering Direct Entry admission, meaning you have completed a diploma, NCE, or first degree, you must satisfy the following requirements:

1. ND/NCE/First Degree (Second Class Lower).
2. Two (2) A-Level passes in Social Science or Arts subjects.

Here are the waivers and special considerations for Direct Entry:

• UNICAL (University of Calabar) accepts first-degree second class lower in Social Science or Arts. They also accept two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Social Science or Arts subjects in one sitting.
• ABU (Ahmadu Bello University) accepts two (2) IJMB passes/’A’ Level in Literature-in-English and any other two (2) Arts or Social Science subjects.
• UNIZIK (Nnamdi Azikiwe University) accepts NCE/Degree in addition to the UTME requirements. They also consider distinction aggregates or HND with credits from a recognized institution, along with at least 5 ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, and/or any other science subject.
• UNIMAID (University of Maiduguri) requires 2 ‘A’ level passes from Literature-in-English, Religious Studies, and Government.
• OOU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) accepts a degree in Social Sciences or Arts not lower than a second class lower, in addition to the basic UTME requirements.
• EBSU (Ebonyi State University) accepts ND and HND with a minimum of upper credit from relevant programs. They also consider a degree, ND, or NCE in Social Science or Arts subjects, in addition to the UTME requirements.
