Application Requirements:

Applications are invited from candidates who scored 140 and above in the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Examination (JAMB) and have chosen the University of Calabar as their First Choice for admission.

Application Dates:

The application portal will open on Saturday, 13th August 2023, and the deadline for submission is set for Saturday, 13th August 2023. Early registration is encouraged to avoid any last-minute congestion.

Exam Dates:

The First Choice aptitude test exercise will take place from Monday, August 21st to Saturday, August 26th, 2023. The screening exercise will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT), ensuring a fair and efficient evaluation process for all candidates.

Application Fee and Payment Options:

To complete the application process, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦2,000. There are three options for payment:

1. E-tranzact Option:

   • Visit any commercial bank nationwide.
   • Pay and obtain an E-transact PIN.
   • Log into the MyUnical portal at http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link.
   • Follow the instructions provided on the portal after login.

2. Buy Post-UTME Pin Online Option:

   • Access the portal and click on “Buy Post-UTME Pin Online” to purchase the Post-UTME pin.
   • Use the TRANSACTION ID as the PIN for login into the portal.

3. Scratch Card Option:

   • Available at specific banks in Calabar Metropolis: UNICAL Microfinance Bank, WEMA Bank, First City Monument Bank, and Heritage Bank.
   • After obtaining the scratch card, log on to http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link.
   • Enter your JAMB Registration Number and the scratch card PIN.
   • Click on login and follow the online instructions to complete the registration.

Registration Procedure:

1. Visit http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link.
2. Enter your correct JAMB Registration Number.
3. Choose the appropriate payment option and follow the instructions provided.
4. Confirm your entries and click on submit.
5. Print out the completed form for reference.

Important Notes:

• Impersonation during the screening exercise is a serious offense and will be dealt with accordingly.
• Failure to participate in the screening exercise automatically disqualifies a candidate from being considered for admission.
• Check the portal from Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, to access your venue and time for the CBT.
• Ensure that you provide your correct phone number during registration, as the university will communicate with you directly.
