Admission Requirements for Bayero University Kano: If you wish to seek admission into Bayero University Kano, you must meet the following requirements:

For JAMB UTME Admission:

  1. Obtain a minimum of five O’Level credits (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.
  2. Choose the correct course combination for your intended field of study during JAMB UTME registration.
  3. Score a minimum of 180 in the JAMB UTME examination to be considered for admission.
  4. Select BUK as your first-choice institution.
  5. Participate in the BUK Post-UTME screening exercise to be eligible for admission.
  6. Be at least 16 years old in the year of application.

For Direct Entry (DE) Admission:

  1. Obtain a minimum of five O’Level credits (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.
  2. Have passed two ‘A’ level/IJMB subjects related to your intended field of study.
  3. Obtain passes in JUPEB/A subjects related to your intended field of study.
  4. Depending on your chosen course, a degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related discipline may also be required.
  5. Purchase the ABU Direct Entry Form from JAMB, complete the registration, and make the necessary payments.
  6. Have passed the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma, or any equivalent qualification related to your intended field of study.
