Bauchi State University Post UTME Form Latest Update for 2023/2024 Admission

Bauchi State University Gadau (BASUG) is a state-owned university located in Gadau, Bauchi State, Nigeria.

It was established in 2011 by the Bauchi State Government and is officially accredited and recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria.

BASUG has three main campuses: Gadau (Azare), Misau Campus, and Bauchi Campus.

The university offers various degree programs to its approximately 21,180 students. The current Vice Chancellor of BASUG is Fatimah Tahir.

Post-UTME stands for Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. It is an examination conducted by higher institutions, including universities, to assess the aptitude of students who are seeking admission. It is typically a simpler examination compared to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, and it helps universities determine the eligibility of candidates for admission.

For the 2023/2024 academic session, BASUG has released its Post UTME form. Prospective students who chose BASUG as their first choice in JAMB can obtain the form by visiting the BASUG official portal at https://basug_screened.admissions.cloud/. The Post UTME form costs N2,000 and should be paid through the school’s admission account.

To apply for BASUG Post UTME, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the BASUG Screening exercise Portal at https://basug_screened.admissions.cloud/.
  2. Click on the undergraduate portal and select the Post-UTME form.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
  4. Pay the sum of N2,000 to the BASUG admission account using your ATM card.
  5. Return to the portal and log in again with your JAMB Registration Number.
  6. Click on the “Apply Here” button and fill in your educational qualifications, contact information, and chosen course of study.
  7. Complete all the required fields and print out your post-UTME registration slip for future reference.

The specific date for the BASUG Post-UTME screening in 2023 has not been announced yet. However, the registration is ongoing, and the screening exercise is expected to take place from August 22nd to August 26th, 2023. It is advisable to regularly check the BASUG website or relevant sources for updates on the screening date.

To be eligible for BASUG Post UTME, UTME applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  2. They must possess at least five (5) credits in their Ordinary Level results (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB), including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects related to their chosen course of study. Two sittings for O’level results are not accepted.
  3. The minimum score in the JAMB UTME examination should be 180 and above.
  4. Applicants must choose subject combinations that align with their courses of study.
  5. Candidates must meet the required cut-off mark for the course they wish to study.

For Direct Entry applicants, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Present the JAMB Direct Entry form obtained from JAMB’s official website.
  2. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Note: It’s important to note that meeting the requirements for JAMB and Post UTME does not guarantee admission into BASUG. The university’s admission process considers various factors, including the number of available slots and competition among applicants
